Thursday, March 16, 2006 Starting a new research project is like starting a new relationship. For me, I start questioning if I should pursue this. Once I have decided to do it, the idea is the greatest thing in the world. For a few days, I am walking on clouds. Then, the first fight---the first place you make a tough decision on the paper. And then the project meets your friends and family; you give a seminar on it. Finally, the submission to a conference, and even the referee report. Good news: marriage.
